{"id":148,"date":"2012-03-18T17:03:03","date_gmt":"2012-03-18T17:03:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/truthlifelight.wordpress.com\/?p=148"},"modified":"2022-04-05T12:01:01","modified_gmt":"2022-04-05T12:01:01","slug":"celebrate-your-scars","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sunesishq.com\/notes\/celebrate-your-scars\/","title":{"rendered":"Celebrate your scars"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-family:Corbel;font-size:12pt;\"><span style=\"color:#333333;\">A scar is evidence\/proof of past wound(s) and evidence that God has&nbsp;<em>healed<\/em>&nbsp;us of those wounds.&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color:#1f497d;\"><strong>By Jesus&#8217; stripes we are healed (Isa 53:5). By our stripes, God gives us the compassion and grace\/anointing we need to minister healing to those who are currently in the predicament we once upon a time found ourselves<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color:#333333;\">. What does not kill us makes us stronger and more compassionate towards others who are suffering like we did. And we can comfort them with the same comfort with which we were once comforted.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;margin-left:27pt;\"><span style=\"color:#333333;font-family:Corbel;font-size:12pt;\">Who comforts (consoles and encourages) us in every trouble (calamity and affliction),&nbsp;<span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\">so that we may also be able to comfort (console and encourage) those who are in any kind of trouble or distress,<\/span>&nbsp;with the comfort (consolation and encouragement) with which we ourselves are comforted (consoled and encouraged) by God.&nbsp;<strong>(2Co 1:4)&nbsp;<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#333333;font-family:Corbel;font-size:12pt;\">Scars also result from Wounds which are sometimes proof of God&#8217;s love and the love of friends. (Pr 27:6)<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;margin-left:27pt;\"><span style=\"font-family:Corbel;font-size:12pt;\"><span style=\"color:#333333;\">For the Lord corrects and disciplines everyone whom He loves, and He punishes, even&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color:#1f497d;\"><strong>scourges<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color:#333333;\">,&nbsp;<span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\">every<\/span>&nbsp;son whom He accepts and welcomes to His heart and cherishes. (Heb 12:6)<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#333333;font-family:Corbel;font-size:12pt;\">When the scourge heals, it&#8217;s a scare that reminds us that we are not bastards, that someone loves and cherishes us and so he scourged us (pruned us) that we may bear much fruit.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#333333;font-family:Corbel;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\">So for every scar, let us rejoice because it means we are loved (<strong>scars from the father<\/strong>). Jn 15:2 tells us he does not only prune those of us who were misbehaving but also the fruitful so they can bear much fruit. The pruning also leaves scars. And for those scars that came from other sources (e.g.&nbsp;<strong>the <\/strong><\/span><strong>dragon or bad choices<\/strong><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\">), let us still rejoice because it enables us to identify compassionately with the afflicted so that we can be trusted by God with the anointing\/grace to heal and set others free. We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
