A Veil or a Spirit of Revelation

2Co 3:13-14 NIV<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\n

13 We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to keep the Israelites from gazing at it while the radiance was fading away. 14 But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains<\/span> when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In the Old Will, a physical veil kept men from knowing the Truth i.e. God. Under the New Will, the veil is no more physical because it was rent at the cross but there remains a spiritual veil over the minds and heart\/spirit of some. This veil keeps them from knowing the Truth, Knowing God.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Some Christians have heard many sermons but are not changed by them. they are not set free like the scriptures promised.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

Jn. 8:32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Why is this scripture not activated and working in the lives of some who profess Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior? One possible reason is the fact that some of these people do not comprehend the truth when it is taught. But why so? A possible reason is that their spiritual senses are dead or dulled.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

They cannot see, hear or comprehend the word of Truth which are Spirit and life (John 6:63) and hence can only be apprehended by the spirit and not carnal flesh. It is this life of the Word that sets us free. It is the knowing of truth that brings liberty from lack, shortage, debt, bondage, fear, addictions, failure etc.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

The inability to comprehend and apprehend this life which comes from the Truth results in ignorance leading to a perishing.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

2Co 3:13-15 AMP<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\n

(13) Nor [do we act<\/span>] like Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the Israelites might not gaze upon the finish of the vanishing [splendor which had been upon it<\/span>].<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\n

(14) In fact, their minds were grown hard and calloused<\/span> [they had become dull and had lost the power of understanding<\/span><\/span>]; for until this present day, when the Old Testament (the old covenant) is being read, that same veil still lies [on their hearts<\/span>],<\/span> not being lifted [to reveal<\/span>] that in Christ it is made void and done away.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

(15) Yes, down to this [very<\/span>] day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies upon their minds and hearts<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The veil keeps our spirit man from seeing<\/strong>, hearing<\/strong>, and understanding<\/strong> Truth. It keeps us from comprehending God or His ways. The knowledge of the Truth brings freedom.

(32) And ye shall know<\/strong> the truth<\/strong>, and the truth shall make you free<\/span>.<\/span> Joh 8:32 KJVR<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

But the Truth cannot set you free if you do not know it. Some Christians are \u2026

The Knowledge of the Truth

    Who is<\/span> the Truth<\/strong> or what is the Truth. In our minds, we think we know the answer but it is heart comprehension that counts as true knowledge. That leads us to the second question.

    (6) This is he that came by water and blood, even<\/span> Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

    (24) God<\/strong>
    \nis<\/span>
    \na Spirit<\/strong><\/span>: and they that worship him must worship him<\/span> in spirit and in truth<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

    Truth is a person<\/strong>. His name is Jesus. His name is the Spirit of God and His name is God because all three are one. The Truth is God.
    \n<\/span><\/p>\n

    He is the Word of God that you hear preached. He is the logos. In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God hence the Truth is God<\/strong>. There is no Truth apart from God.
    \n<\/span><\/p>\n

    This Word which is the Truth is Spirit and Life. If you can only know this Truth or Word that brings Life, this truth will make you free. The life will set you free from every death. The life will release your money and health from the grip of death.
    \n<\/span><\/p>\n

    But throughout the History of man, very few have gotten to know<\/strong><\/span> the Truth. Hence very few have really enjoyed true life. Most have perished. But why have many perished? What is the cause of the perishing?
    \n<\/span><\/p>\n

    Hos 4:6 KJVA<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

    \n

    (6) My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge<\/span>: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

    This is one of the great mysteries of life. <\/strong>God’s children are not destroyed by satan, principalities and powers or even unbelief. They perish because of ignorance\u2014lack of knowledge! All they need to have a victorious Christian life is knowledge of the truth. True knowledge is light and its drives out all darkness. In fact, darkness cannot comprehend or oppose truth. It just flees\u2014like when one turns on the light bulb in their home at night. Truth is Power.

    What is the knowledge of the Truth<\/strong> or the knowledge of Christ Jesus<\/span>. What is it? God taught me to understand knowledge through Old Testament scriptures such as:

    (7) And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew<\/span> that they were<\/span> naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

    That speaks of “consciousness” or “awareness”. How aware or conscious are we about Jesus?

    Gen 4:1 KJVA<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

    (1) And Adam knew<\/span> Eve his wife<\/strong><\/span>; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

    Gen 4:17 KJVA<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

    \n

    (17) And Cain knew<\/span> his wife<\/strong><\/span>; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

    From the above scriptures we notice this knowledge transpires between people who are in relationship or fellowship. In the case of OT scriptures quoted, it was between a man and His wife.
    \n<\/span><\/p>\n

    In our dispensation, it’s again between a wife and a husband. The wife is the Church of Jesus of whom we are all a part. The Husband is Jesus.
    \n<\/span><\/p>\n

    Biblical knowledge is the result of a very high form of intimate fellowship which causes both parties to bare their souls to each other. This knowledge brings oneness. When we are one with God, all evil gives way because evil cannot stand in the presence of God. This is what happens when we are deep in worship, prayer or simply contemplating God.

    1Co 6:17 KJV<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

    (17) But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

    So the knowledge of the Truth is an intimate knowledge of the truth. This intimate knowledge brings freedom. The more of God we have, the less of the world can hold on to us.
    \n<\/span><\/p>\n

    Jesus is the way. If you stay on this way, you can come to intimately know the truth. If you embrace this truth, it will impart Zoe, God’s own life to you. Hence Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

    Eph 1:17 KJVA<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

    (17) That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

    We surrender the veil of ignorance for God’s Spirit of Wisdom which gives us insight into the deep and intimate knowledge of God and His truth. This leads to liberty.
