For some weeks now, we have been discussing the importance of a leader\u2019s value system and morality in precipitating transformation that is sustainable. <\/p>\n<p>We extrapolated and analyzed the parting words of world leaders such as Jian Zemin of China and George Washington of the USA. With respect to China\u2019s development in recent years, we traced their developmental success to the bible, Christian values and morality citing the works of Max Weber, Niall Fergusson, David Aikman and Marc Nuttle. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; margin: 0 0 .0001pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato Light', sans-serif; color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; margin: 0 0 .0001pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato Light', sans-serif; color: #000000;\">Many trace China\u2019s success to economic policies but their own leaders and their scientists trace it to Christianity and its value system. It is for this reason that the Chinese state set up a government ministry to promote Christianity and build churches. For more on this, see BBC article below. Much of this information is not reported in the media. But this is the source of their strength. Such is demand for the holy book, [that] it [printing the bibles] remains around the clock operation. According to official figures, around <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">30 million<\/span> people are Christian. Unofficially, it\u2019s a <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">hundred million<\/span>. That\u2019s more members than the Communist Party has. And while religion is tolerated, the government is wary of its growing popularity, a popularity reflected here [in the factory]. The factory began publishing Bibles in 1987, just a few years before the Communist Party ended, its campaign to try to wipe out religion. Today, it\u2019s proof that there is money in religion, a contradiction that is perhaps only possible in today\u2019s China.
