If not, why then did he create evil? The answer is found in the following verse.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:14pt;\"><span><span><span><span style=\"background-color:#f9fdff;\">This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:#0070c0;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;background-color:#f9fdff;\"><span style=\"font-size:medium;\">I have set before you&nbsp;<\/span><strong><span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\">life<\/span><span style=\"font-size:medium;\">&nbsp;and&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\">death<\/span><span style=\"font-size:medium;\">,&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\"><span style=\"font-size:medium;\">blessings<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"background-color:#f9fdff;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\">and<strong>&nbsp;<span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\">curses<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\"><span style=\"color:#001320;background-color:#f9fdff;\">. Now&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color:red;background-color:#f9fdff;\"><span style=\"text-decoration:underline;\"><strong>choose<\/strong><\/span>&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color:#0070c0;background-color:#f9fdff;\">life<\/span><span style=\"color:#001320;\"><span style=\"background-color:#f9fdff;\">, so that you and your children may live<\/span>&nbsp;&#8212;<\/span><span style=\"color:#552200;background-color:#f9fdff;\"><strong>Deuteronomy 30:19<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color:#333333;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:black;font-family:Arial;font-size:12pt;background-color:#f9fdff;\">Imagine a world where humanity had no choices but was forced to live in one way i.e. the way of God. Such a world is a world without liberty. To have liberty man must be free to make a choice.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt;\"><span style=\"color:black;font-family:Arial;background-color:#f9fdff;\">True love allows choices. In the case of humanity, a man who is interested in a lady does not command or force love from her. No, she must<\/span>&nbsp;<span style=\"color:#0070c0;font-family:Arial;background-color:#f9fdff;\">choose<\/span><span style=\"color:black;background-color:#f9fdff;\">&nbsp;<span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">him among all the other eligible men. This brings<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span style=\"color:black;font-family:Arial;background-color:#f9fdff;\">honour<\/span>&nbsp;<span style=\"color:black;font-family:Arial;background-color:#f9fdff;\">to the man. God our husband (Isa 54:5, Eph 5) does not force us to choose him or his righteousness. Rather He desires to be<\/span>&nbsp;<span style=\"color:#0070c0;font-family:Arial;background-color:#f9fdff;\">chosen<\/span><span style=\"color:black;\">&nbsp;<span style=\"font-family:Arial;background-color:#f9fdff;\">by us so He provides us with both<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span style=\"font-family:Arial;\"><span style=\"color:#0070c0;background-color:#f9fdff;\">life<\/span><span style=\"color:black;background-color:#f9fdff;\"> and<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span style=\"font-family:Arial;\"><span style=\"color:#0070c0;background-color:#f9fdff;\">death<\/span><span style=\"color:black;background-color:#f9fdff;\">,<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span style=\"color:#0070c0;font-family:Arial;background-color:#f9fdff;\">blessings<\/span><span style=\"color:black;background-color:#f9fdff;\">&nbsp;<span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">and<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<span style=\"color:#0070c0;font-family:Arial;background-color:#f9fdff;\">curses<\/span><span style=\"color:black;background-color:#f9fdff;\">&nbsp;<span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">i.e.<\/span>&nbsp;<span style=\"font-family:Arial;\">evil and<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color:black;font-family:Arial;background-color:#f9fdff;\">He encourages us to choose&nbsp;life&nbsp;(Deu 30:19). This freedom of will to choose is His love to us.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:black;font-family:Arial;font-size:12pt;background-color:#f9fdff;\">If He does not give us the option to choose between the two, then he is practically forcing Himself or His way on us and He will not do this because He is love and love does not force itself upon anyone. That is why Adam and Eve were also given the choice between the two trees&#8211;one that gave life and the other that gave death.
