{"id":269,"date":"2012-05-13T14:13:26","date_gmt":"2012-05-13T14:13:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/truthlifelight.wordpress.com\/?p=269"},"modified":"2025-03-05T08:44:57","modified_gmt":"2025-03-05T08:44:57","slug":"excellence-is-your-inheritance-in-christ-jesus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sunesishq.com\/notes\/excellence-is-your-inheritance-in-christ-jesus\/","title":{"rendered":"Excellence is your inheritance in Christ Jesus"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify; margin-left: 14pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Corbel;\"><span style=\"color: teal;\"><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">(Isa 60:1)<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: black;\">\u00a0 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the<\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #1f497d; background-color: yellow;\">glory<\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #1f497d;\">of the LORD<\/span><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: black;\">is risen upon thee.<\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 12pt;\">This is a very pregnant verse but for today we will only consider a very little portion of its meaning\u2014that which pertains to excellence.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Corbel; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">This verse was written to tell the people of God to arise from the dusts of\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: red;\">mediocrity<\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\">\u00a0and begin to take their rightful place and inheritance in God which included shining with divine\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: blue;\">excellence.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\">This shining is made possible because of the rising of the Glory of God or God&#8217;s Glory on his people.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Corbel; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #00b050;\"><strong>QUESTION<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\">: What then is the Glory of God?<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Corbel;\">The original Hebrew word the prophet uses in Isaiah 60:1 for glory is a very pregnant word and if we understood what it meant, we would never be defeated another day in our lives. The hebrew word used by the prophet is \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: blue; font-family: TITUS Cyberbit Basic;\">\u05db\u05bc\u05d1\u05d3<\/span><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Corbel;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: blue; font-family: TITUS Cyberbit Basic;\">\u05db\u05bc\u05d1\u05d5\u05d3<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Corbel;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">\u00a0and it is transliterated as\u00a0k\u00e2b\u00f4d k\u00e2b\u00f4d. What does k\u00e2b\u00f4d\u00a0 k\u00e2b\u00f4d mean? When you say Glory, what do you mean? k\u00e2b\u00f4d\u00a0 k\u00e2b\u00f4d is defined as\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: blue; background-color: yellow;\">excellence<\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\">\u00a0so the glory of God is the excellence of God himself. This is what is risen upon us. k\u00e2b\u00f4d\u00a0 k\u00e2b\u00f4d also means God&#8217;s weight,\u00a0glory, honour, gloriousness, abundance,\u00a0riches,\u00a0splendour,\u00a0dignity, reputation, reverence, etc.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #00b050; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Why is it important that God&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>k\u00e2b\u00f4d k\u00e2b\u00f4d<strong>\u00a0has risen upon us?<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 12pt;\">To have the glory of God risen upon you is to be crowned with God&#8217;s glory. Secondly, it is to be overshadowed with God&#8217;s glory and we can only exhibit and transmit what overshadows us. Peter&#8217;s shadow could heal the sick because he himself was overshadowed with the glory of God. He dwelt in the secret place of the Most High under the shadow of His wings.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #00b050;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: Corbel;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Meaning of Is 60:1 to <\/span>the believer<\/span><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Corbel;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Is 60:1 means the\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: blue;\">excellence\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\">or weight of our Lord himself is already upon his people for it says &#8230;for your light\u00a0<strong>has<\/strong>\u00a0come and the glory of God\u00a0<strong>is<\/strong>\u00a0risen upon you. This is past tense and it means no child of God has an excuse to be mediocre. That is why the next verses explain that Kings and Queens will come to the\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #1f497d;\">brightness<\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\">\u00a0of our rising or to our prominence. Why would they come? Because they will\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: blue;\">see<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0the\u00a0excellence, splendour, glory, dignity, reverence, honour etc of the Lord upon us.\u00a0This is our portion in Jesus. We must know, believe and walk in this truth because it<\/span> is a done deal. And remember:<span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; margin-left: 14pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Corbel; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: teal;\">(Pro 4:18)<\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\">\u00a0But the path of the just\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: gray;\"><em>is<\/em><\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\">\u00a0as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Corbel; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Each and every day we should exhibit more and more of this glory and excellence of the Lord\u2014His weightiness. Our light should be brighter today that it was yesterday. For our path is progressive, shinning brighter and brighter unto the perfect day i.e. the season of the fullness of light and\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: blue;\">excellence<\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\">.
