Words are not just literary things. They are containers into which you can put, for example, thoughts. Thoughts are spiritual things. Words are containers for spiritual things. What is a container? It is an object for HOLDING or TRANSPORTING something. Words are containers into which you can put or hold and transport or transmit thoughts, \u00a0emotions, and other spiritual things like hate, love, peace, faith, or fear. You can put different spiritual quantities inside words. That is why faith comes to you or is transported to you by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Hearing words is how faith comes and speaking words is one of the primary ways faith is released.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The word of God is a container filled with spiritual things e.g. faith, truth, love, joy, etc. Christ himself, as God\u2019s Word, is the Container of the Godhead\u2014hence the God in human flesh or \u201cFor in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily;\u201d (Col 2:9, NKJV). As the logos, he is the container and sum of all God\u2019s thoughts, opinions, reasoning, doctrine, etc. As God\u2019s word, He is and was the divine expression. He held, transported and rehearsed the divine Godhead to us. When God wants to heal, He simply sends His word, and that word is medicine or contains whatever the person needs. Some words also carry and transport death, fear and that which is counterproductive.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

God puts life in His words. He puts in there light, wisdom and whatever is needed. Words are carriers and transporters of divine truths, thoughts and purposes. God conceives inside Himself (heart) what He wants done, accomplished or changed, and then He gives voice to it or puts it into words and sends the words (He speaks it forth). Words can be spirits containing life (Jhn 6:63) or containing some other spiritual things. Words can contain graces, empowerment or enablement. Their contents can be received or rejected. Everything God says prospers and does exactly what He intended for it to do.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Watch what you export and what others import into your heart and mind. Words have creative effect\u2014the ability to bring to pass its contents. \u201cSo shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper <\/span>in the thing<\/span><\/i> for which I sent it\u201d (Isa 55:11, NKJV<\/strong>). God sends words on assignment. \u201cAnd God said, Let there be light: and there was light\u201d (Gen 1:3, KJV). Since He made us in His image, our words have the same effect.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Mat 12:35-37<\/strong><\/span><\/span> (NKJV)<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

35<\/strong><\/span><\/span> A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

36<\/strong><\/span><\/span> But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

37<\/strong><\/span><\/span> For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n


\nHow does a good person bring forth good things out of the good treasure of his heart? In this context, the heart is your spirit and not your physical organ. He’s talking about the core of your being\u2014the spiritual centre of your being. The way a good or bad man brings out good or bad from their spiritual centre is in the very next verse\u201436, \u201cBut I say to you that for every idle WORD<\/strong> men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment\u201d. God warns us about idle words. These are non-working or non-productive words. It\u2019s a careless, inactive, unemployed word\u2014talking but not trying to accomplish anything with your words. Why should I not use inactive words? Because scripture says, \u201cLet no corrupt communication<\/strong> proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers\u201d (Eph 4:29). Corrupt communication includes words that do not produce positive or godly impact and effect. Words have a ministry and must minister grace.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We should be mindful of the impact of our words on people and situations. Never aim to hurt people. Never speak without considering the effect of the communication. \u201cBut let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.\u201d (Mat 5:37). \u201cBe not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.\u201d (1Co 15:33). Just because a thought crosses your mind does not mean you speak it. \u201cTherefore take no thought<\/strong>, saying<\/strong> \u2026\u201d (Mat 6:31). You take a thought by saying it or giving it an assignment\u2014by putting it into a container that transports it. Speaking in spiritual tongues is the same way.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We must cast down thoughts, arguments, theories, reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the true knowledge of God. Thoughts unspoken can die unborn. Only give birth to that which you can defend before God. Speak the word of God. Check renegade thoughts against the Word of God and the Holy Spirit before shooting those bullets out, but once they have left the barrel of the gun (mouth), they are on their way. Be thus responsible with the gun.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

That same mouth can be an instrument of healing\u2014a tree of life.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Pro 15:4<\/strong><\/span><\/span> (KJV)<\/strong> A wholesome tongue <\/span><\/span>is<\/span><\/i><\/span> a tree of life: but perverseness therein <\/span><\/span>is<\/span><\/i><\/span> a breach in the spirit.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n


\nDeath and life are in the power of the tongue, and with great power comes great responsibility and accountability. Let us be mindful of our words and use them, knowing they are active and powerful and have effect and impact. They can be a force for good or evil.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
