Not for Everyone — For the Called
The Nation Builders Programme is deliberately specialised. It is for citizens, professionals, and emerging public leaders with a genuine call toward governance and public policy — people prepared to shape systems and steward national life, not merely comment on them.
NBP deploys the leader into the public square.
Built from a Lived Record
This programme transmits practice, not theory:
- Africa Progress Panel (Geneva) — sole onsite Public Policy Analyst at the Secretariat, under Chairman Kofi Annan
- "Equity in Extractives framework" — Consultant
- Presidential appointee — Ghana Prisons Council, under Article 206 of Ghana's 1992 Constitution
- Project Efiase — Chairman, Planning Sub-Committee: GH₵50 million in government commitments and systemic justice-sector reform
Formation by Mentorship
NBP is delivered hybrid, but its heart is personal mentorship — one leader forming another for public responsibility, supported by structured on-site sessions and applied policy work grounded in each participant's real context. Mentees of this work have entered public office and public service across the United States, Nigeria, Ghana, and beyond — inspired, instructed, and encouraged into the arenas they now occupy.
The Pathway
NBP is a two-year structured formation: a first year in the craft of policy and governance, and a second year of intensive mentorship toward the participant's own arena of public responsibility. Beyond the pathway, the Nation Builders Fellowship continues — because entry into public life follows its own seasons, and this house walks with its own until the door opens, and after.
The Pathway In
Entry ordinarily comes by invitation or alumni nomination; those with a demonstrated interest in governance and public policy are also welcome to apply directly.
